Mayor
	Organizing and driving the council meeting. Representing the city to the outside. Is able to give out a 'command decision' if there is a need to make fast decisions during the week. This decision is only effective until the next council meeting and must be voted upon then.

	Vice Mayor
	Supporting the Mayor. Taking over, if Mayor is not present. Automatically becoming Mayor if he resigns or is voted out of office, until a new election is done.

	Treasurer
	Administrating the city gold. Seeing to it that this gold is increased and not "wasted".

	Council Advisor
	Being the "virtue conscience" of the council. Seeing to it that decisions of the council do not stray too far from the city virtue. Trying to increase the recognizability of the city virtue in decisions or events. Eventually being the representative in a new CCV [Coordinative Council of Virtue]. If no other person is available, the position of Council Advisor can be held by a person that already holds another position in the Council (vote from 30.6.2001). This is due to the fact that the Advisor doesn't have any executive/ commanding rights.

	Town Constable, Vice Constable
	Being responsible for upholding law and reducing crime in town and on Moonglow island (murder, theft, corruption etc). For this purpose he can use the Moonglow Guards and can command them through the guard captain during these operations (thus standing effectively above the Guard Captain during inner-political operations).

	Being responsible for the councils public relations. Being responsible for announcements in game and on message boards.

Appointed Positions

	Justiciar
	Being responsible for all legal affairs of the Council. This includes organization and standing as prosecutor in trials and formulation of new laws and treaties. The justiciar is also the legal advisor of the Council.

	Guard Captain
	Organizing and administrating the Moonglow guards thus being also responsible for promotions. Leading all military operations against outside forces. The guard captain is also the military advisor of the city council.

	Diplomatic Corps
	Being responsible to establish and maintain diplomatic relations.

	Dean of the Lycaeum Academy
	Being responsible for the administration of the Academy. This includes overall organization, administration and recruiting of teachers as well as announcing of lectures.

	Being responsible for organizing the Moonglow Bagball team. This includes the responsibility for the team setup, holding training sessions and organizing matches.
